The cities marked in green have WiMAX service; yellow means service will be available very soon. Most WiMAX service is ‘fixed wireless’ (an oxymoron), which means you need a modem. So it’s not optimal for travelers. The best example of ‘mobile’ WiMAX service is WorldMax’s Aerea in Amsterdam: you can purchase a day pass for 6 EUR.”
