O FBI quer autorização judicial para monitorar telefones celulares. Vejam o post do Smart Mobs. Interessante também são dois sistemas citados, o Loopt, que permite que o usuário saiba se algum amigo está próximo e o Chaperone, que informa se crianças deixam uma determinada área.
