Criar situacoes no dia a dia, artisticas e politicas, era o objetivo dos situacionistas cujo expoente maior foi, com certeza, Guy Debord. Hoje, com as midias locativas (celulares, GPS, redes Wi-Fi, RFID), alguns artistas estao tentando imprimir, pelos dispositivos digitais moveis, novas formas de leitura e de escrita do espaco, formas de apropriacao do urbano pelo uso das tecnologias moveis nos espacos publicos das grandes cidades contemporaneas, que em muito se aproximam, ao meu ver, das “derivas” situacionistas.
Para celebrar os 50 anos da primeira Internacional Situacionista, o espaco “New General Catalog” no Brooklyn, NY, esta’ apresentando o “The Guy Debord Show”, durante todo o mes de novembro, sempre as 11:30 pm (Eastern Central Time). As transmissoes podem ser vistas pela internet de 5 ate 30 desse mes. Vale a pena conferir.

Celebrating the 50 year anniversary of the first Situationist International, project space New General Catalog in Brooklyn, NY is presenting The Guy Debord Show, a month-long web program being broadcast to and from the gallery every night at 11:30pm Eastern Central Time. Fittingly, the press release specifically points out that it airs “following Fox News,” the hyper-conservative American program. The first broadcast was November 5th and until November 30th each night will feature an hour of the “best Situationist-inspired performance/action.” Curated by Trong G. Nguyen, some of the featured artists include Art Hijack 2.0, Fluff Constructivists, Eh-Team, Shit TV, and UFO Factory, to name a few.
